Personality: Practical, honest, determined, reliable, peaceful and good hearted. That’s the kind of characteristics that you can see from him. Maybe he’s a bit soft and easygoing on people and hates to confront them if it’s not completely necessary. He might not come with the first answer in a discussion but most of the time he comes with the definitive one to stop it.

Living in a farm all your life makes you become hard-worker and peace-loving as something natural, but don’t get him wrong. He won’t hesitate to fight if he believes there’s some kind of injustice around him. Because of that, he doesn’t use violence or rough force; he’s more of a practical strategist, which means when he fights he uses his brain to find a way to end the confrontation sooner.But don’t misunderstand. If you push him too much he will punch you back for sure.

Backstory: Joe is the eldest son of the Fir family. He grew up in his family farm in Pallet Town, a peaceful life, nothing there to complain. Working with the ground and the farm Pokémon, playing with his brothers and friends and listening to stories from his grandfather about the previous war and all the kind of wild things you wouldn’t see in a peaceful place like that.
He got to know that one of the locations that suffered the most where little towns, specially his own due to be connected by sea and being so close to the Johto region, which was used as battlefield many times during that war, almost to the point of almost bring the town to an end.

The echoes of the past seem to comeback with this incoming war and since Joe is the only available to enlist from his family he got to attend the enrollment. Of course he thinks it’s kind of scary and all but even so, he looks forward to be of help to Kanto, and somehow to help protect his family and people of his town so the story of the nearly destruction won’t happen again.  In the least he expects to survive and return to the peaceful life with his loved ones. 


Splashingdash/ Magikarp / Brave /Swift Swim

Since Joe is a rookie in the Navy and with zero training, he got stuck with one they said fit him better due to the circumstances. A "harmless" Magikarp. Maybe it was because a dangerous Pokémon would be too much from the start. Even if Joe had experience with more domestic Pokémon, he didn’t have much for battle and less with water-types, which was needed in the Navy.
Even if Joe didn’t know what kind of fish his Pokémon was, he got to connect with him better as a partner more than as a weapon. The Pokémon corresponded to him, giving his all when needed (unfortunately is not much for now), after all, between losers, they must cover each other in order to survive, to show the others how much the can be worthy of with a little bit of hard work.

Bihornstrike/ Tauros / Lonely /Anger Point
Mostly an untrained and untammed Tauros with a rough attitude about strangers...why did Joe picked such a potential danger with horns? ... he picked him because he felt familiar with him, since he was used to see this pokemon than other kind in pallet town, and dunno maybe Bihornstrike felt something about this kid because to the astonishment of everyone, Joe was the only one that could calm the savage tauros and make him trust in him. But dont get him wrong, Bihornstrike is still a mini hulk so beware. Is a new addition and probably only used for emergency porposes.
